Liberal Drinking
Please join us! The Gilpin Dems and Friends meet on the second Wednesday of every month. Non alcoholic beverages are always available. Political talk is optional. Meeting your neighbors is not. This is a fun gathering of people who care about you and our community who work to keep Gilpin County great. There is always work to do. The location alternates monthly between Howlin Wind and Very Nice Brewing in Gilpin County. Come solo or bring a friend. All are welcome.

All are welcome at our monthly Gilpin County Democratic Party Central Committee meetings which are held on the 4th Thursday of the month at the Gilpin County Library from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Fahrenheit 451 - Film & Discussion
We will watch the 1966 version of Francois Truffaut’s Fahrenheit 451 starring Julie Christie and Oskar Werner. Join us for this movie and conversation after the film. The film is not rated.
Light snacks will be provided. Popcorn is a possibility…but you need to be there to know if we bring the whole experience.

Trash Pickup - Scenic Byway
Come join us for our semiannual trash pickup. We meet at 9am sharp, divide into groups and march along both sides of the highway in search of rubbish and recyclables.
At the end we reconvene to discuss:
Who found the weirdest thing?
How many Fireball containers did you find?
Wear boots and bring gloves. Safety vests and garbage bags are on us.

Pot luck, BYOB. Meet like-minded neighbors, share what’s been going on. New initiatives.
This is a grass roots, community organized event.
This is not about the GilpinDems. It’s about community and country.

This event is organized by Indivisible, 50501, Common Ground People’s Collective, Political Revolution, Solidarity Warriors, Move On and most critically the American people.
Ride the W train from the Government Center in Golden and ride the free bus or walk to from there to the capitol. Best be on the train before 11am.
Ridesharing from Gilpin to Golden or Denver may be possible. Currently, there are two rideshare seats open.

State Senator Judy Amabile is hosting a town hall with Representative Lesley Smith on Sunday, December 8th at 3:30 via Zoom. We hope you will join us to welcome her and discuss the upcoming legislative session.

If you support the Democrats, even if you don’t claim the party as your own, please join us for an evening to watch results of the election together with like-minded folks. Collaborative Food Drive
The Gilpin County Food Pantry, Ermel’s & the Peak to Peak Rotary are collaborating to collect food and clothing. Drive-thru to drop off at the Gilpin County Food Pantry. Preferred foods are peanut butter, jam/jelly, canned tuna, chili, soup, stews, toiletries, paper goods and pet food.
